A Note About Tire Health and Our Wheel Service Process
When you bring your wheels to us for repair or powder coating, our process requires us to safely remove the tires to complete the work. This essential step can sometimes reveal pre-existing issues with the tires themselves that weren't causing problems while on the vehicle.
Why a New Vibration Might Appear After a Wheel Repair:
Tire Age and Degradation: Over time, a tire's internal structure can degrade, even if the tread looks fine. This can cause the tire to lose its original shape or stiffness, making it difficult to achieve a perfect balance after it's been dismounted and remounted.
Irregular Wear Patterns: Tires with uneven wear (often called "cupping" or "choppy wear") can sometimes be masked by their position on the wheel. After our service, when the tire is remounted and balanced, these irregular wear issues can become more apparent, leading to a new vibration or wobble. This is not a sign of a faulty wheel repair, but rather a pre-existing tire issue that has now become noticeable.
While we take great care in our work and always professionally balance your wheels after service, we cannot be responsible for issues that arise from pre-existing tire conditions. In these cases, a new vibration is an indication that your tires may need to be replaced.
Your satisfaction is our top priority. If you experience any issues after a service, please contact us immediately. We will be happy to re-evaluate the situation and work with you to find a solution. Our goal is to provide the best possible outcome for your vehicle.
